Topper

"Topper is made from paper pulp; this differs from papier mache in that the newspaper is torn into bits and soaked until the fibers separate. Once this stage is reache the mass is drained of excess water and glue is added. Now it is ready to be shaped and allowed to dry. Once dry it can be sanded, drilled, cut or further refined in any manner."

"After I had made Topper and set him out to dry, I liked the rough apperance, and left the sanding step out. I primed him and painted several coats of arylic paint to bring out a sense of fluffiness. I added half blue glass beads for his bright eyes and a bit of pink felt to give a soft touch to his ears. To me Topper is a cute little fellow, curious, cautious but bold. I hope he brings cheer and sweetness to his new forever home. As a gift or an addition to your own bunny collection, Topper is sure to be a novel centerpiece."  ---Terry
